| 스토리 | The warm winds tickled the fields of golden rye. The harvest was bountiful this year. Though delicious every year, this time was special. This time, a certain watcher of the rye ensured the treasured fields had ample production.
Our certain watcher was none other than Rye Cookie, who always mixed a drink using the harvest grains. The first cup from the harvest tasted the best, no doubt about it. And wowzers, this year’s yield was fixing to be the greatest ever. Rye Cookie was ready to break her own rule of using the first batch of the harvest. She couldn’t wait until she got her hands on some tomorrow.
Her anticipation and excitement drove away any signs of Sleep Sleep. The crickets seemed to chirp louder. The wind sounded as if it were beckoning Rye Cookie’s attention. Temptation grasped at her mind. The wind whispered to her.. Don’t wait for tomorrow. She deserved a reward after all the hard work. Why not have a taste now?
Somewhere a door creaked back and forth. Probably the silo’s door, she thought. It had been finicky for sometime now. Rye Cookie jumped out of bed in sudden realization. A door’s hinges can’t creak unless it’s open! But she had locked down the silo before bed!
Bedhead and all, she grabbed her holsters and bolted out the door. Ain’t nothing good happened next. The silo was clean as a whistle, not a single grain in sight. But up above, Rye Cookie saw a Cookie.. Face-covered and ready to escape. Chili Pepper Cookie was fleeing the scene with the only sack of rye left over her shoulder. Rye Cookie took aim and BANG! But it was too late. The robber had already made a run for it.
Rye Cookie followed the trail of grains left behind. But the trail went cold and ended with a single grain of rye, left alone on the road. How dare she? How could one Cookie swipe away every sack of the harvest? Rye Cookie munched on that last grain of rye, eyes staring straight into the horizon with something fierce in them.
Rye Cookie was no longer a watcher. Now, she was a catcher. To be more specific, she took up bounty hunting. She roamed the lands with just a red poncho on her back. Rye Cookie chews on grains whenever she stares into the sunset. She ain’t gon’ stop until she finds that infamous Cookie. |
