Apologizing, he also moves the insects away from the tree to other parts of the garden. The tree remembered the first time there two Cookies encountered one another. That night, the clear sky served as the perfect canvas for the twinkling stars. Herb Cookie’s green thumb allowed the garden to blossom and grow without worry. But a newcomer approached. Fearful of this stranger, the laurel tree prepared to defend itself with a blast of herbal scent. And yet, this Cookie resembled Herb Cookie in many ways. The curious tree then changed its mind. It wished to see what would happen next. The stranger, fascinated by all the plants and herbs, beamed with a hearty smile. It seemed as if this Cookie had never seen such a garden teeming with life. The smiling newcomer greeted all: the flowers, the bushes, and the sprouting herbs. The longer the tree observed this Cookie, the more it enjoyed the Cookie’s glee. After admiring the entire garden, the unfamiliar Cookie plopped down in a corner. From there, a blissful, tranquil melody sprung forth. Having heard the music, Herb Cookie had come to greet his guest. The bay laurel liked to think Herb Cookie was not taken by surprise. After all, the music of this new Cookie was relaxing, calming, and peaceful. Clover Cookie arrives at the garden every morning. Could it be that Herb Cookie invited him? After greeting each plant and herb, Clover Cookie, eyes closed, blessing the garden with his musical touch. Herb Cookie, gentle as always with a watering can in hand, tending to the herbs. Is this not the true definition of peace? |
