| Story | It's... HALLOWEEN! Time for the Halloween Masquerade! Dress up in your favorite costumes and show off your spooky spirit! Sound the horns! ... Oh, it looks like Head Icon Fig Cookie is already on it! And now, more and more Cookies are showing up on the streets in their amazing costumes!
... Hmm? Head Icon Strawberry Crepe Cookie wasn't in a good mood. Just what could be the problem? Ah, they wanted to enjoy the festivities and show off their new headset, but a certain Cookie had his hand on their shoulder and just won't let them go!
"Get your hands OFF me! Ugh! I do NOT associate myself with weak Cookies like you!"
"Weak? Are you calling me, a paladin, protector of the Light... WEAK?!"
"Pfft. You don't even look like you can use Light  Magic. What a joke!"
Baffled by his ridiculous claims, Strawberry Crepe Cookie decided to analyze Head Icon Madeleine Cookie's dough... to find the most ridiculous amount of narcissism! Granted, the Cookie did contain a considerable amount of light energy as well. A scientist by nature, Strawberry Crepe Cookie decided to continue the investigation.
"Ha! The content of Light in your dough is statistically insignificant. ERGO, I WON!"
"I simply cannot let this statement slide!"
"Oh? Then it's decided! Let's go! And don't cry when I reduce you to crumbs!"
Madeleine Cookie laughed at the taunt and drew out his sword. What a peculiar Cookie! Strawberry Crepe Cookie began to think this evening was turning out to be an interesting one after all.
"Ha! An impossible outcome. The Divine protects me!"
"Yeah, whatever! The first one to crumble loses!"
The tensions were high, and the once boisterous crowd grew silent. Then, suddenly, a shadow passed in between the two.
*Doot Dooooot*
"EVERYCOOKIE, CALM DOWN!"
The loud dooting of Fig Cookie's horn sounded like a strict warning. Head Icon GingerBrave was right behind, shouting in attempts to stop the battle.
"C'mon! It's the Halloween Masquerade! We're supposed to have fun, not fight!"
"Why you! Don't get in my way! Things were just getting interesting!
"A knight simply does not back down from a duel!"
"But if you fight here, you're gonna hurt other Cookies!"
Thank goodness, Head Icon Latte Cookie appeared to save the day! In her new, spooky Halloween costume, she came up with an elegant suggestion.
"You don't have to fight each other to win, you know. Honestly, I'd say this is a perfect opportunity to see who's best-dressed!"
"Well, duh! It's OBVIOUSLY ME! See? I look super adorable!"
"Ba ha ha! Nonsense! Take a look at this crimson armor! It's not something you can see every day!"
Eager to prove their charms, the two Cookies immediately began to pose to show their cool and cute outfits in the best light possible. Strawberry Crepe Cookie showed off their charming animal-shaped mechanical arms by waving them around, and Madeline Cookie's crimson glamour shone in picture-perfect poses. It was only natural that a crowd formed around them.
"Oh my, I can't miss this out!"
"Look at these new Latte Glyphs! They're in a completely different style!"
With all the flashy poses and Latte Cookie's extravagant Latte Glyphs, the cheers grew louder.
"I did not hear anything about Magic! Referee! I object!"
"What! Hey! I can do that much as well! Look!"
The two Cookies complained and started to use their fancy skills as well! The competition no longer involved just the two Cookies now—every Cookie in the near vicinity was eager to show off their new costumes and abilities. Sparks and lights of many colors filled the night air with Magic. In the end, most of the Cookies at the masquerade were chosen the night's best dressers. |
